Successfully teaching highland dancing for over 25
years, Joan has taught and conducted workshops throughout
Canada and the United States. She currently offers
lessons on a weekly basis through the Joan Murray School of
Dance in both New Westminster and Surrey. Students start as
early as 4 years with senior dancers ranging from their teens
to young adults. Once they learn the basic skills of highland
dancing and hone their talents, they can progress to become
members of the Tartan Pride Highland Dance Team.
Joan is a member of The Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance,
Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing Judges Panel,
ScotDance, B.C. Highland Dancing Association, as well as the
Fraser Valley Highland Dancing Association.
When & Where
Lessons
for all ages and levels are taught on a weekly basis at two
locations:
Monday in
New Westminster
Tuesday - Friday in Cloverdale
